2022 U.S. Open preview
The Country Club, in Brookline, Massachusetts, will play host to golf’s best players this week. The list of players you could make a case for is ludicrously long, which means we should have a fantastically open competition for the 2022 U.S. Open.
One very interesting question will be whether we see a breakthrough victory for a rising star like Cam Smith & Sam Burns or whether the likes of Koepka, Morikawa & Rahm can enhance their Major tallies. Oh, and let’s not forget the ever-present question: When will Rory McIlroy win another Major?
The course itself has a storied history, but we’ll be seeing a very different layout to the one on which Curtis Strange beat Nick Faldo in a playoff (1988), and even the one where Matt Fitzpatrick came out on top at the U.S. Amateur (2013). We’d suggest you keep an eye out for the short par-3 12th; a unique challenge for the players.
It should be a very interesting week in New England, but we hope you can make it an interesting week closer to home too by hitting some golf balls yourself. If you fancy getting out there, feel free to click below and get in touch now.
