Prize Night
Last Friday the club presentation evening was very well supported with a large majority of the prize winners in attendance to collect their trophies.
The evening took many hours of hard work from various committee members to organise and it is great to see so many trophies from the different sections all out on display.
Well done to all those who organised the event and those members who came along to support it.
For those who did not win a trophy this year the pro shop staff are always available to offer great tuition, please phone and book a time, hopefully next year you may well be collecting a trophy!

Over the past few weeks the leaves on the ground have been a major problem but we have continued to collect them and think we have now collected the majority. The bunkers that we have re built will have their lining installed once the weather dries out. You will notice on the course that we have dug out areas for two new winter tees like the one on the 6th and they will be installed soon.
We have put some rope out around the course to help protect certain areas of the course during the winter. Some matting has been put down around the course that is called 'turf reinforcement'. The matting can be walked on and will help protect the area below. It is GUR.
I would like to encourage members to leave trolleys and buggies as far away from the greens as possible during the winter to help protect the course.
European Tour School
Well done to Ashley Chesters who advanced through the Second Stage of European Tour Qualification School to get through to the Final Stage which starts tomorrow.
For Ashley to get a full European Tour card for next year he will need to finish in the top 25 at this event, which is a 6 round tournament. We wish Ashley all the best for the coming week.
