Bank Holiday Monday
There is a club stableford competition on Monday. If you would like to play there are no official start times for this event. Please call into the Proshop to enter.
Motocaddy have a deal on Lithium Batteries, FootJoy have a trade in deal on certain shoes, the pro shop have some great woods that we are clearing out and finally we have a few dozen boxes of Pro V1's left from last year. We are selling these Pro V's off at £32 per dozen.

Open Mixed Greensomes
Yesterday the golf club had a succesful day with a large field enjoying this mixed event with the good fortune of missing the forecasted heavy rain.

Masters Sweepstake
The pro shop has organised its annual sweepstake. Tickets are available from the pro shop at £2 a square and the Draw will be made next Wednesday. We will have a usual pay out for the top 6 players but we have decided to give members a chance to win something if they draw a player who is not showing good form. Therefore we are issuing a £5 credit on your pro shop account for the player who has the worst score each day and also any player who gets a hole in one.

Shropshire and Herefordshire Alliance
Yesterday Simon and Josh took two teams to play in the Winter Alliance at Hawkstone Park. Congratulations to Josh who, against the largest professional field this year, managed to shoot level par in very blustery conditions. This score put him on top of the leaderboard tied 1st with Steve Carter from Staffordshire. The result puts Josh near the top of this years' Order of Merit and we wish him luck in the remaining events. Josh's team also just missed out on a prize in the team event by 1 point.
Thank you to the members that helped make up the two teams and I hope you enjoyed your day out.
Ladies Coaching Tuesday Mornings
We will be holding some group coaching for the ladies section. All ladies are welcome to attend. Sessions will be on Tuesdays running from 10am - 11am. The sessions will be ideal practice for the upcoming golfing season.
Cost per person per session attended will be £7.50 .

Junior Academy
The Shrewsbury Golf Club Junior Academy starts on the April 17th. All juniors are welcome to come and join us and try out golf. The sessions start at 4.30pm and last for an hour. If you know any juniors that might enjoy getting in to golf please bring them along.
We will be starting our beginner courses in May. If you have any family, friends or colleagues that may be interested in giving golf a go please let them know that we will be starting a 4 week course. Cost is £20 for the 4 sessions which will start on Tuesday 5th May at 6 till 7 pm and will run for 4 consecutive Tuesdays. All necessary equipment for these sessions will be provided by the pro shop. This is a great way to start golf if you feel you know somebody who may be interested please contact the pro shop for more information.
