This week again we have been hit by rain and snow, which caused both the ladies competition on Wednesday and the Seniors competition on Thursday to be cancelled. The Seniors braved the conditions early on Thursday morning with a few teams managing to complete their rounds but unfortunately with the snow starting to settle at lunch time, the event had to cancelled.
After a dry day today we are hoping that the course will re open this weekend.

"There are still some prize vouchers and some medal prizes from 2014 which have not been collected. A list is being compiled and will be displayed in the clubhouse and the pro shop of those members who have not yet collected their prizes. Group coaching sessions
Group coaching session dates for your diary:
- Seniors group Coaching will start on Wednesday 18th February at 11.00am.
- Ladies Group Coaching will start in March and these will take place on a Tuesday morning at 10.00am
- Junior Acadamy will continue to be held on a Friday Evening. These will start in the middle of March once we can enjoy the lighter evenings.
Golf for beginners
As you are aware we are always looking to attract new players into the sport and we will be running various schemes through the Spring and Summer Months. These details will be published in March but if you have any family or friends who would like to learn in a group environment please click here to contact the pro shop with their details and we can add them to our mailing list.

Marketing Shrewsbury Golf Club David Kidby has been appointed on committee as our new Marketing advisor. David is a very enthusiastic golfer and keen club member who supports many of our golf club events. David also runs a very successful marketing company and is looking to help raise the profile of Shrewsbury golf club.
He has already managed to publish some of our events in local and regional magazines, promoting the club's charity work and donations. He would like to continue to feed good news articles from Shrewsbury golf club into the local press and therefore would welcome any information from the membership which would assist him.
