Currently the golf course is closed due to last night's heavy rain but hopefully if the weather remains dry we can get some golf played this weekend. The pro shop and practice ground will remain open from 8am till 4.30pm regardless of whether the course is closed and we will be very pleased to see you.
News from the Office
Unfortunately the Shrewsbury Golf Club website is currently down due to security issues with our main provider. The hosting company has been having some technical difficulties and has therefore pulled all its websites off line until the security issues have been resolved.
Christmas Mixed Greensomes
The Christmas Greensome competition was played on a bright sunny day on a course in great condition. A well supported event, organised by Les Lewis was won by Ted Cartwright and Carol Burgan with 42 points. They each received a Christmas hamper, beautifully prepared by Sue Pritchard.

Childrens Christmas Party
This was a fantastic afternoon with Santa arriving in the dark on his special Christmas Golf Buggy. Santa arrived and with some help from his Elves he managed to deliver presents to 45 very excited children. Before Santa's arrival Picklelily Circus did a wonderful job of entertaining all the children with some great activities and games. Well done to Tina, Claire, Eric and Ray who made it all possible.
Carol Singing
Thursday 18th December at 8pm in the clubhouse.
All members and their guests are welcome and there is no need to buy tickets in advance. The golf club have a wonderful choir that together, with some mince pies and wine, will get you into the Christmas spirit.
Grand Prize Draw
The golf club are offering the chance for one lucky member to win a year's FREE golf subscription. The entry fee for the prize draw is £10 with some of the proceeds going to the Captain's charity. The draw sheet is located in the Bar.
