But the Marketing Committee know that our best way of attracting new members is from introductions made from our current membership. Therefore we would like to promote the Membership Referral Reward Scheme.

Handicap League 2020!

Well 2020 is here already! After a little ' Arm Twisting', I have agreed to run the Handicap League again this year, assisted by the ever capable Dave Fisher, we are looking for players to represent the club in this year’s fixtures. So far the following dates have been confirmed:

Saturday 18th April at home vs The Shropshire 10:30am start.
Saturday 2nd May at home vs Hawkstone Park 10:30am start.
Saturday 20th June at home vs Market Drayton 11:30am start.
Saturday 4th April away vs Hawkstone Park time TBC.

I am awaiting confirmation of dates and times for the away fixtures at The Shropshire and Market Drayton.
If you are interested in playing, please let Ade Price or Dave Fisher know as soon as possible, I will be putting a sign-up sheet in the clubhouse in the next couple of days.

Layer up

Last week we talked about one of our favourite topics: rain! Whilst waterproof protection is key for staying dry when caught in a downpour, combining layers of clothing underneath is vital if you want to enjoy the warmth without being so restricted that you can’t complete your backswing.

What do we mean by layering?

Lots of golfers are still in the habit of putting on as many layers as they possibly can in the winter to combat the cold – a vest, turtleneck, polo, sweater and jacket – but today’s golf clothing could easily cut that down by half.

What do we suggest?
