Hole in One Congratulations to Kevin Roche who on Monday this week (16/9) had a hole in one on the 8th hole while playing a social round with friends. Kev, who is a keen golfer in his seventies, not only had a hole in one, but also managed to birdie holes 2,3,4,and 7 but unfortunately slipped up with a bogey on the 5th. This gave Kevin a front 9 score of 30 gross, 5 under par! |

A close game Thank you to Les and Steve who challenged David & I to a match to raise money for the Captains charity. The match was played on Tuesday morning and we were lucky to have perfect conditions. We all contributed to the scoring, I was fortunate that my partner was in fine form and played some great shots at key moments. David birdied the 7th hole from the fairway bunker which gave us a crucial win to help counter Les Shepard’s nett birdies on holes 5 and 6. The match could have gone either way with Steve Jolly playing very steady, and the two opponents dovetailing well to put us under pressure. With a little luck, we managed to close out the match 2 & 1.

Goodbye laces. Hello Boa Technology in today's golf equipment continues to amaze us year-on-year, but it's not just our clubs that are making strides in the tech department. Believe it or not, golf shoes are some of the most advanced products in the market thanks to the evolution of the Boa Fit System, which is replacing traditional laces. Not only does it fasten your shoe, but when the Boa dial is on the heel of your shoe, it pulls your foot back and down to provide the perfect fit for extreme comfort and stability out on the course. |

Make a £99.98 saving! TaylorMade equipment is played by some of the world's best golfers, such as Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson. In fact, they both use TaylorMade's TP5 or TP5x golf balls, too. They're also some of the longest and straightest guys on Tour, which is partly down to the golf balls and the impressive M5 and M6 drivers. So, for a short time only, we're going to give away two dozen TP5 or TP5x golf balls for FREE with every M5 or M6 driver that we sell - just so you can see the results for yourself. |

It's great walking to the first tee with a new driver in hand (that's been custom fitted to suit your swing, of course) that you know will help you outdrive your playing partners, but sometimes it can be a simple change to the ball that you're using that has the biggest effect on your game. |
