Visitor Booking System Observant members will note that we have switched our existing visitor booking system which has been operational for the past 5 years from a third party site onto the club’s own webpages. The change – which went live last weekend – will enable us to take better control of bookings and maximise income from visitors. This new, direct sales channel – which uses a BRS booking module – will allow us to take ‘out of hours’ bookings and improve efficiency through fewer phone calls. Also, by capturing data on those who play our course, we’ll be able to market deals and membership packages more effectively and directly to potential customers using digital marketing and social media. This will bring our club more in line with processes used by other golf clubs in Shropshire & Herefordshire.
We are not opening up any more tee time slots for visitors than we have done in past years, simply aiming to provide a package that captures as much value as possible from those who do come and play the course. Peak playing times have been respected and visitors are made aware when they book that the time they have selected is an approximate timing. The Marketing and Development Committee hopes that members will continue to give visitors a warm welcome on the course and in the club house.
