The Great North Run Next Sunday on the 9th September, one of our Lady Members, Liz Harding, is running in the Great North Run which is a half marathon. She is participating with her daughter, Vikki, and they are both running in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society. Liz and Vikki have both run in this event on three previous occasions collecting money for the same worthy cause. It is a few years since their last entry and in the meantime Vikki has had two children and Liz is running as a grandparent for the first time – quite an achievement! With someone developing dementia every three minutes it is set to be the UK’s biggest killer – if you would like to contribute to this worthy charity then please visit the following link to make a contribution. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/VikkiSavage2018

All roads lead to Paris… Ryder Cup Captains Jim Furyk and Thomas Bjorn have this week announced their Captains picks for next month’s showdown at Le Golf National in Paris. Furyk chose the inform Bryson DeChambeau, Ryder Cup stalwart Phil Mickelson and 14 time major champ Tiger Woods. Furyk will also have his final pick after this week’s Fed Ex Cup event in America. Thomas Bjorn has opted to go for experience rather than current form, choosing Henrik Stenson, Paul Casey, Sergio Garcia and “Mr Ryder Cup” Ian Poulter. Next month’s Ryder Cup looks set to be one of the best in recent history!

Now that we’re moving into autumn, you need to start thinking about layering over your snazzy polo shirt with a stylish sweater that doesn't become too restrictive when you swing. We've got a great range of sweaters in-store, including some club crested pieces, too. |
| Enter Glenmuir. Their garments are expertly crafted to give you the very best quality out on the course. Not only that, they also do club cresting, meaning you can wear the club's badge with pride the next time you tee it up in competitions or travel on away days.
