Monday Mixed Greensomes - 20th August 2018

It was a splendid evening last Monday, twenty three people turned up to play mixed golf. The winners, with 25 points, were Allan McVittie and Alwena Edwards; in second place, with 24 points, were Ray Sant and Elaine Adams; in third place, with 23 points, were Ray Sant and Jill Perrin.
The next event is on the 3rd September and will be a Texas Scramble. Please arrive by 16:40 for a 16:45 draw. Entry fee £1.00.

The entry sheet for the Monday Social Final to be held on 23/09/2018, tee times 14:00 to 15:00, has been posted on the mixed notice board in the spike bar. Full details are on the sign-up sheet.

Captain's Away Day

Thank you to the Captain for supplying the following:

72 members had a day at Ingestere Hall golf club. The day was enjoyed by everyone even though play had to be suspended after 4 holes due to thunder and lightning and pouring rain.

Play resumed after an hour and a half, and some good scores took the prizes.The staff at Ingestere looked after us all admirably and could not do enough for us. The greens staff raked all the bunkers and swished all the greens after the rain. The food was good and very tasty!

The Captain would like to thank everyone who supported the day and made it a success for him.

Setting your sights
