Rose Bowl

Unfortunately the Rose Bowl had to be cancelled on Saturday due to the early thunder storms and very wet conditions. The competition has been rescheduled for the 11th of October.

Junior Club Championships

On Sunday the Juniors took part in their 36 hole Club Championships. As always there were some very good scores. The winning gross score was by Tom Kerr who shot rounds of 77 and 70. The winner of the Nett Prize was Joe Sherratt who shot rounds of 71 and 61.

The Open Championship

I am sure you all enjoyed The Open that took place at Royal Liverpool Golf Club last week, with Rory McIlroy holding off a strong chasing field to win by 2 shots. Congratulations to Mark Laidler who drew Rory in the pro shop sweepstake. Below are the results from the Open Sweepstake:

The Captain wishes to thank all the players who have entered his Captain’s Day competition and looks forward to greeting them on the day.
