Daily Mail Foursomes
The Captain and Dave Fisher played in the fourth round of the Daily Mail Foursomes competition on Friday against Trentham Golf Club. Their opponents Rob and Tim played off 6 and 13 handicaps respectively. It was a very competitive game with the Trentham pair getting a birdie on the 18th to win the hole and make the match all square.
Dave Fisher then sunk an 8 foot putt on the 1st for a par to win the match.
Well done to you both, good luck in the next round!

Monday Night Mixed Social Golf
Eighteen people played an Am/Am in a cool evening breeze on Monday evening and afterwards enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Jane. The winners were John Cooper, David Czarnetzki, Tina Robinson and Marie Sherratt with 48 points. In second place were Bob Hill, Roy Humphreys, Annie Home-Dodd and Jill Perrin. Next week we'll play a nine-hole Greensomes, teeing off at 5.00. Please sign in by 4.40 for a 4.45 draw.

Divoting Evening - Tuesday 27th June
The greens team would like some assistance with divoting. I am sure that you will all agree that after the recent rain the course is looking in great condition and the greens are excellent. There is a sign-up sheet in the club house and those willing helpers will be rewarded for their efforts with a free drink and supper. Hopefully we can get a number of volunteers and turn it into a nice social evening.
Titleist Fitting Day - Saturday 1st July
We have the demo guys from Titleist coming on the 1st July. This is a great opportunity to try out all the titlist equipment and talk to the Titleist experts who will be able to give you a great insight into their equipment.

The U.S Open - Erin Hills
Play is already underway at the years second major with young American Rickie Fowler out in front. There has been much talk about the course already with some very different views from the players regarding the very long rough. Players complained they might not be able to find their ball let alone play it in the fescue rough.
On the subject of balls, Titleist have released a limited edition 69 ball for this weeks major celebrating being the number 1 ball for 69 years. This weekend only I will be doing a U.S Open special on these limited edition Pro V1 balls priced at a heavily reduced £40 per dozen.
