Last week the golf club hosted the Severndale school golf charity day which went very well with approximately 150 players taking part. The Head Master, Chris Davies, did a fantastic job of organising this day and managed to raise over £10,000 for the school. Thank you to the green staff who made a short course on the practice ground for the pupils of the school to have their own competition which they enjoyed immensely.
Our Captain, Graham Evans, helps at the school and was delighted by the event and the support the day received from the members.
Well done to Rob Oakley’s team of Jeff Moody, Alistair Mccormick & Scott Henderson who won the event with Jerry Henshaw's team coming 2nd.
June Medal
The June Medal was well supported and we saw some really good scoring. Well done to Duncan Lowndes who shot a gross 74 after finding the par 3 holes very easy. Duncan managed to get a 2 on the 2nd and the 8th and then went one better with a hole in 1 on the 14th! Andrew Mallett also played some great golf shooting a gross 1 under par round to win Division 1.
