Modernising Golf's Rules
Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.
Please spare a couple of minutes to complete our survey, which gives you the chance to have your say on the proposed changes.
We've picked out some of the most significant Rules changes for you to digest in this survey, before giving you the chance to say whether you agree or disagree with each of them. It'll be great to know your thoughts.

Sunningdale Foursomes
Tom Kerr and Josh Charnock join forces to take on some the country's best golfers in the Sunningdale foursomes next week. It is a straight matchplay foursomes knockout competition and they have been handed a tough first round against Callum Shinkwin, a European tour player, and Matt Wallace a Challenge Tour player. We wish them both well.
The new bunkers on the 9th hole are now in play, as are the grass bunkers on 12 and 13. Some of the surrounding areas are still GUR, therefore you may take relief from these areas either nearest point of relief or by using the drop zones.
Green Keepers News by Dan Perry
On the course the fairways and tees have been cut, the paths have been topped up. Aeration work is still continuing weekly. The greens are still continuing to perform well.
Over the next couple of weeks some worn areas of the golf course will be overseeded, the main target areas will be around the greens. The fairways, tees, approaches and greens will all be fed and we are also planning to solid tine the greens at a depth of 150mm
