Captains Drive In 2017. 

The Captains Drive In took place last Sunday and despite the inclement weather many members came out to support the new Captains drive into office. All the Captains struck very good drives in the wet conditions and under immense pressure. I am sure you would all like to wish them all a very enjoyable and successful year. 

Distance of Captain's Drives; 

Club Captain Robert Oakley- 178 yards
Lady Captain Jayne Breeze- 126 yards
Junior Captain Dan Sherratt - 221 yards
Seniors Captain Allan McVittie- 205 yards 

Congratulations to Marie Sherratt who won a bottle of whisky for guessing the length of the Captain's drive and to Helen Davies who won a bottle of Champagne for guessing the length of Jayne's drive.

  

The 9 hole shotgun start competition that followed the Drive-in was won with an impressive score of 47 points. The winning team consisted of Chris Griffiths, Geoff Mallett and Graham and Jean Evans. 

Captains Welcome Party Friday 13th 7.30pm 

All members are welcome to receive a free drink whilst having the opportunity to meet this year's Captains and committee members. It is a very social evening and I hope many of you will attend to support the new officials in their respective roles.
