Les Lewis the Competition Secretary is organising a fun evening;

The Fun Golf challenge Friday 15th July 6.30pm starts on the putting green area. The challenge includes putting, chipping competitions followed by 'chip butties' finishing off with a fun golf rules quiz. £15 per team of four which includes food and prizes.

Social golf

Monday Night Social - Thanks to Dave Kidby for the following.

A warm summer evening saw twenty members take to the course last Monday. A lack of men saw Hilary Fabian and Caroline Sycamore paired together at the front of the field and despite playing off the ladies index decided to compete without courtesy shots. The girl power combination proved to be very effective. Despite the competing team in their round considering course management tactics, a laissez-faire attitude from Hilary and Caroline paid dividends coupled with a bob it up the middle mentality. A strong performance by Cleve Middleton and Bob Hill saw them in third place, with 20 points, pipped to second place on count back by Marie Sherratt and Chris Edwards. However there was no stopping Hilary Fabian and Caroline Sycamore as they romped home with 22 points.

Video of the week

Just to prove that the unmentionables can strike anyone… this happened to poor Jon Rahm, playing in his first ever event as a professional. As if that wasn't bad enough, Shot Tracker technology captured it all!

It can happen to any of us…
