The golf club has changed the lock on the front door to a 4 digit number. The new code will be used from 1st June. The first 3 digits remain the same and the fourth digit is 1. All the locks around the building will also be changed to match the front door code.
Bank Holiday Weekend Pro Shop Sale
This weekend we are offering £10 OFF all Ladies and Men's Shirts which we currently hold in stock.
During the next few months there are plenty of competitions and open events being staged at the golf club. Please check on the club's website for details.
For the Bank Holiday stableford on Monday there is no need to book a time simply turn up and enter in the pro shop.
The open events do need some more entries, therefore if you have friends who would enjoy playing a competitive round at Shrewsbury Golf Club please forward them the details.
The Captain Keith Smith has put a notice up with details on his Away Day, please sign up on the sheet located in the Clubhouse.
On Thursday 26th May the gents seniors team played at the Wrekin, after two wins with vice-captain Allan McVittie in charge, as captain Adrian Price was on 'international duties', well on holiday anyway!! the 'resignation letter' was in the 'pending tray' as the team had lost their first three matches, well the letter is still 'pending' as Shrewsbury ran out winners 5-3! A special 'Thank You' to the players who stepped in at short notice.

Junior Academy
The Friday Night Junior Academy has attracted well over 20 children each Friday from 4.30 till 5.30pm. Being a bank holiday weekend there is not a session this evening but will be back next Friday. Please contact the pro shop if you know of any children who would like be part of the Junior Academy.
Monday Night Social

Twenty five players took to the course this Monday to enjoy nine holes of mixed green some golf. This fun competition hones your golf skills. There is a draw for partners, so you get to meet and play golf with different people every time you play before enjoying a hearty meal in the clubhouse afterwards. The course was in great condition with fine weather and the greens running quickly.
This week Roger Withinshall continued to perform well taking top spot with partner Cleve Middleton. The team score of 22 points was two ahead of second place marking a solid round from Barry Russell and Marie Sherratt. Third spot was won on countback from David Kidby and Elke Williams. This year's Monday night socials are organised by Hilary Fabian, Bob Hill and Tina Robinson with support from a wide range of members. If you want to make friends in the club this is one of the best opportunities in the year's golfing calendar.
While this competition is not about the winning, but the taking part, there are weekly prizes for good performance and a cumulative points system with a cup to be won at the end of the season. The field convened in the Clubhouse to enjoy a selection of jacket potatoes and salad.
If you would like to play this Monday get your name up on the sheet on the mixed notice board this weekend. It would be lovely to see you.
Tom Kerr
Congratulations to Tom who continues his successful run by winning the Trentham Bowl. This event attracts many of the region's top golfers. Tom shot rounds of 72,75 to finish on three over for the day and then went on to win the trophy after a 5 hole playoff.
Well done Tom keep up the good work!
Ladies Coaching
Thank you to all the ladies who attended the hitting crisp irons session last Tuesday. The session went very well with many of ladies making great improvements. Next week we are focussing on how to hit lob and bunker Shots. If you would like to attend please contact the Pro shop or click here.
